i greatly enjoyed the hotel, it's well priced and the location is ideal to the restaurant next door. location: the venue was close to the waterfront in punta gorda, and airport. moreover, i went to the lake, it's 30 minutes walk away.

Everything was fantastic.

The front desk staff was really friendly.

I faced issues with the cleanliness of the room, as there was noticeable mold in the corners of the shower. It was disheartening to find that the room felt ridiculously small. I encountered several cockroaches.

The American Inn provided a cozy atmosphere with clean, spacious rooms. I appreciated the larger fridge, allowing me to store snacks and drinks. I enjoyed a lovely view of the grassy area surrounded by palm trees. It was perfect for relaxation. The king bed felt comfortable. I did experience some inconveniences. The shower corners had visible mold, quite unsightly. There were a few cockroaches in the room. While the staff was friendly, the cleanliness issues were hard to overlook. If I return, I'll be sure to check for a cleaner room first.

After almost giving this place a compliment, I just couldn't. The moldy shower corners were a nice touch, really added to my 'vacation' vibe. I also felt it was sooo special that I had to check in from a dark window and yet received zero special treatment, no upgrade for me! Should have left right away, honestly.

What makes it worth it, and what doesn't

The location was ideal, perfectly nestled between the airport and family visits. The staff here were friendly.

Parking could use improvement. While the area is generally neat, I found some clutter issues. I also wish for a bit more variety in TV channels for entertainment during downtime.

Check for a room away from the busy road for a more restful night.

We stayed with two couples and enjoyed exploring Alligator Creek Preserve nearby with a great experience in nature. The flat-screen TVs in the room were a hit with the kids, providing endless entertainment during downtime.

My kids wished for a play area to burn off some energy.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the lovely flowers around the reception and the comfortable King Room that felt so fresh and clean. There’s a nice grassy area to relax and just chill out. A spacious setup in the room that made working a breeze. Just a heads-up—the tub could use a safety bar, but it didn’t lessen my overall experience at all! 🌸

All good, fulfills its purpose. Thoughtful management throughout my stay.

I enjoyed my spacious King Room with a comfy bed and a large fridge. The back view offered a serene grassy area surrounded by palm trees, perfect for relaxation. Friendly staff. For a quieter night, ask for a room away from the busy road.
